Stilte. Wat is dat eigenlijk ? Is dat alleen de afwezigheid van geluid, herrie ?
En hoe leg ik dat vast in een foto, een beeld ?
Tijdens het maken van een aantal foto’s merkte ik dat niet alleen rust en stilte
in geluid maar ook de visuele rust, stilte belangrijk was.
De visuele stilte verbeeldde ik door minimalisme in de compositie.
En voor mij moest het op de plek van de genomen foto ook stil zijn in geluiden.
Dus : stille foto’s.
Silence. What is it, actually? Is it just the absence of sound, noise?

While taking a number of photos, I noticed that not only the peace and quiet in sound, but also the visual peace and quiet were important.
I depicted the visual silence through minimalism in the composition.
And for me, the location where the photo was taken also had to be silent in sound.
